House entrance - design

of the entrance according to Feng Shui

We, our family, friends and guests enter our living area via the entrance area. This supplies our rooms with a lot of chi.

This gives the visitor a first impression of the residents. Therefore, the entrance to the house is a very important area in Feng Shui that should be given a lot of attention.

The look and feel of the area is very important and the entrance should therefore be clearly structured and recognizable.

Take a look at your entrance area.

What is the first impression, what is the first thing I see, what is the first thing I notice?

Are the garbage cans next to the entrance door, is the nameplate clearly visible and is the area well lit?

Good lighting is provided when the name is easy to read, the keyhole is clearly visible and the entrance is easy to see.

Entrance easily accessible

An entrance door should be easily accessible without obstacles. Blockages disrupt the flow of energy. The path to the front door is ideally slightly curved. A path that runs straight and without interruption directly towards the door is unfavorable from a Feng Shui perspective.

Lay the paving in such a way that it provides stability. Loose stones or steps should be repaired as quickly as possible. This can be an indication that the residents of the house lead unstable lives.

It is good if there is enough space in front of the entrance where chi can collect and thus get into the house. Next to the door, two beautifully planted flower pots placed on the left and right invite the visitor.

A harmoniously designed entrance area gives the visitor a feeling of being “welcome”.

When it comes to the interior, make sure it looks inviting and tidy. It's best to store shoes, bags and jackets in a closet.

In a long hallway, a carpet can be used to slow down the flow of energy with a horizontal pattern. Round the edges of furniture or cover them with a hanging plant. Edges act on us like an arrowhead and cause an uneasy feeling in the subconscious.

Also ensure good lighting in this area.
